Bad Bunny
by Lexi Davis
A kindergarten teacher. A large blond fated mate currently stuck in the form of a fluffy white rabbit. One chaotic, hilarious, and surprisingly heartfelt shifter romance you didn't know you needed.
☕ The First Sip
Okay, hear me out. A kindergarten teacher. A fated mate who is currently a large, fluffy white rabbit. I know how that sounds. But Bad Bunny by Lexi Davis is genuinely one of the most fun ARCs I've read this year, and the execution is so much better than the premise has any right to be. I was hooked from the first chapter and laughing out loud by the third.
📖 The Main Course
What makes this book work is that Lexi Davis doesn't let the absurdity become the whole personality of the story. Nora is grounded, skeptical, and a little exasperated, which makes her the perfect anchor for all the chaos swirling around her. She doesn't lose her head the moment her fated mate shows up, and that restraint makes the romance feel genuinely earned. The banter is sharp. The tension is playful. And when the emotional beats land, they actually hit because Davis took the time to make you care about both characters first. The fated mates trope is handled without the usual melodrama, and that distinction matters more than you'd think. My only note is that the world-building takes a backseat to the character dynamics. I wanted more context about the shifter world and the rules that govern it. But for a book leaning this hard into its comedic premise, it never felt like a dealbreaker.
🍂 The Last Drop
Bad Bunny is the perfect palate cleanser. Fun, fast-paced, and surprisingly heartfelt. If you're in a reading slump or just need something that will make you genuinely smile, this is exactly what you need. Pick it up. You won't regret it.
